Claudia's Place Shelter

The shelter is open!  The office is now open for business.  The kennels still need to be constructed, so no animals are living at the shelter yet.

Sponsor a cat or dog kennel in the new shelter.  Beautifully engraved plaques will show your support in building the shelter.  Sponsor a cat kennel for $100.  Dog kennels may be sponsored for $500. Contact PAWS for more information.

Work Bee - March 27th, 2010

It is true!  I have always been told that many hands make light work and the crew at the PAWS Spring Work Bee today proved it.  We had a wonderful turn out and in less than four hours had the raking done, things transported to our former office, now the 'Outpost' for storage and things there brought out to the shelter, the crates cleaned, the fencing stapled to the posts and had a good visit while we consumed a hot dog lunch complete with home made desserts!  It was a bit too damp to burn today, but we have it on good authority that Jim McDonald will take care of that in the very near future.   Thank you to the following people that donated their time and energy to help PAWS today. Steve & Norma Leskiw, Garret & Laryssa Pugh with their girls, Glynn Evans, Paul & Lynn Coates, James Purvis, Lucy Smale, Dave Fowler, Bill Cook, Ashlene Chadburn, Vicki McDonald, Diana Miller, Ken Gerding and an extra special thank you to Lee Kitto for organizing and serving a great lunch.    Last, but not least, a big thank you to the dogs that were charging around having a great time while they entertained everyone!

Thank you everyone,

Lynn Ray, PAWS Secretary
